Pokemon is here! The world renowned collectible trading card game is now part of the growing lineup of geekery at 7Shadows Market.
Delayed Launch
Adding Pokemon trading cards has been part of my expansion plans for awhile. Unfortunately, the super crazy world of the ‘Rona pandemic turned the entire supply chain on its head. The Pokemon business ballooned into a hyper inflated market. The world was upside down. Cards were going for historically high prices and the availability of new product was scarce.
I Gotta Be Me
I wasn’t going to take my business plans into the world of high risk card flipping. That’s just not the lane I choose to be in. All of you wonderful folks in the 7Shadows Tribe know that I simply want to have cool products and affordable prices. Pokemon fans of all ages should be able to pickup a few packs and enjoy this wonderful hobby.
Back on Track
Things are starting to normalize in the marketplace. I’m finally able to jump on the hamster wheel and start moving forward. More new Pokemon product will be arriving at the shop over the next several weeks as I begin to work through a normalized stock flow. I already have Battle Styles, Chilling Reign, and Fusion Strike booster decks in stock along with Rapid Strike and Single Strike Battle Decks. Of course, inventory will fluctuate as I sell through items.
The Joy of the Game
My primary focus is on new product for the fans of the game. I’m not breaking open packs or buying and selling expensive singles. I’m also not acquiring product just to run up the prices to some ridiculous level. Unfortunately, during these unprecedented times, a lot of honest folks have lost tons of money by unknowingly overpaying for cards. My prices are always competitive. I’d rather carry a bunch of items people can afford as opposed to the super mega ultra collector release that is triple dipped in gold bouillon and wrapped with the Golden Fleece.
Passing the Torch
It’s hard for people to pass along the joy of Pokemon to the younger generations when packs are too expensive and unavailable. There’s something really cool about seeing youngsters with their wadded up allowance money pointing at my showcase with excitement. They are overjoyed because they have earned enough money to buy a pack of Pokemon cards. There’s almost always an older steward of the fandom with them. Usually the steward has an even bigger smile than the youngster. Those are the people that will keep the fandom moving forward long after the gold rush has passed. That’s how we pass the torch my friends.
Keep on Geekin’ On ! Thank you for your support.
