The last couple of days have been very emotional for me. While I am beyond excited with all of the changes and consolidating my whole shop into one centralized area (down in the basement) inside Eastbrook Flea Market & Antique Mall, it’s hard to leave the little main floor section where everything started in 2017. My family helped me paint that booth. My youngest children painted their little areas, then they painted each other 😁 There were plenty of sandwiches and assorted snacks for break time. As always, I got roller happy and started going too fast as globs of paint tears dripped from the pegboard holes. My oldest children where better with the brush, so they took over brush painting and did a super job. While I hoped 7Shadows would grow, I was going to be grateful if it just generated enough income to pay for itself and the kids school expenses. I was still a general manager in the corporate music retail world. However, the terrible storms brewing in that company fueled my desire to embark on an embryonic journey into entrepreneurship. Since its inception, 7Shadows Market has grown exponentially. I now have 21 featured brands, new product lines being added regularly, and many great professional partnerships and affiliations. I have had experiments that failed miserably, and leaps of faith that worked out rather well. Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing support of the 7Shadows Tribe. You all are the best. Well, here I am embarking on another momentous change. I’m almost finished with the new expanded basement setup inside Eastbrook Flea Market & Antique Mall . Photos will be posted soon. Still, it will hurt my heart to step away from that first booth on the main floor. However the main floor section has really been an auxiliary overflow thing for the last several years. All the main items are already in my basement area. Over the next couple of days, I will be painting over the black and blue brush strokes of that family workday so the next renters will have a clean slate. While my colors will be erased, the memories will always remain. It’s gonna be hard to keep a tear or two from falling in the new paint. Keep on geekin’ on my friends. Thank you for your support. Changes and Consolidating

The last couple of days have been very emotional for me. While I am beyond excited with all of the changes and consolidating my whole shop into one centralized area (down in the basement) inside Eastbrook Flea Market & Antique Mall, it’s hard to leave the little main floor section where everything started in 2017.

Painting Children

My family helped me paint that booth. My youngest children painted their little areas, then they painted each other 😁 There were plenty of sandwiches and assorted snacks for break time. As always, I got roller happy and started going too fast as globs of paint tears dripped from the pegboard holes. My oldest children where better with the brush, so they took over brush painting and did a super job.

Hopes and Dreams

While I hoped 7Shadows would grow, I was going to be grateful if it just generated enough income to pay for itself and the kids school expenses. I was still a general manager in the corporate music retail world. However, the terrible storms brewing in that company fueled my desire to embark on an embryonic journey into entrepreneurship.

Growing

Since its inception, 7Shadows Market has grown exponentially. I now have 21 featured brands, new product lines being added regularly, and many great professional partnerships and affiliations. I have had experiments that failed miserably, and leaps of faith that worked out rather well. Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing support of the 7Shadows Tribe. You all are the best.

Bigger and Bolder

Over the next couple of days, I will be painting over the black and blue brush strokes of that family workday so the next renters will have a clean slate. While my colors will be erased, the memories will always remain. It’s gonna be hard to keep a tear or two from falling in the new paint.

Keep on geekin’ on my friends. Thank you for your support.
